July 28, 2021 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Vancouver Warriors News Release
VANCOUVER BC - The Vancouver Warriors are pleased to announce the signing of defender and transition player Reid Bowering, the Warriors 2020 NLL First Round Selection (2nd overall), to a multi-year agreement, pending NLL Approval.
Bowering, 23, from Coquitlam BC, has been a standout at both Drexel University and before that with the Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs, helping the Adanacs take home the 2016 Minto Cup Championship. At Drexel, Bowering equalled the college's career goals total with 147 and was an Honorable Mention All-American in his final year this past season, leading the Dragons into the NCAA tourney. Bowering was also a four-time CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor-Roll Recipient.
"Today we signed a key building block for the future of this franchise," stated Warriors General Manager Dan Richardson. "Reid is a dynamic, two-way player that has the rare ability to dominate the game at both ends of the field. He has won at every level he has played at and we see him as a future leader and future Captain of the Vancouver Warriors."
Bowering will complete his Master's degree later this month and look to join the Warriors for training camp in late October.
