Warriors Not Returning to Michigan Empty-Handed

Despite the Michigan Warriors falling to the Fairbanks Ice Dogs 4-2, in the Championship game of the Robertson Cup Tournament last night. The Warriors are not returning to Michigan empty-handed.

Goaltender Robert Tadazak of Lapeer, was named NAHL Most Valuable Player, and also garnered the League's "Top Goaltender" award, as well as being named All-North Division goaltender.

Joining Tadazak on the All-North Division team is Forward Andrew Kolb who finished 7th in the league and led the Warriors in scoring with 65 points.

Defenseman Ryan Trenz, was named to the NAHL "All-Rookie" team, as he finished 2nd in the League in PPG by a defenseman, and led the Warriors in Defenseman scoring with 25 points.

And finally Warriors Forward and team Captain, Scott Henegar and Defenseman Kevin Gibson were named to the 2011 Robertson Cup "All-Tournament" team. Henegar led all players in Goals scored in the tournament with 8, and Power Play goals with 7, and Gibson finished tied for 2nd in Defenseman scoring in the tournament with 10 points.

Congratulations to the 2011 Robertson Cup champion Fairbanks Ice Dogs on their championship season and to the Michigan Warriors as they capped a remarkable season on and off the ice.
