Michigan Warriors News Release
In Game One of their NAHL Robertson Cup 2nd Round playoff Series against the St. Louis Bandits, the Michigan Warriors got 31 saves from goaltender Robert Tadazak, but it wasn't enough as the offense fell silent in a 2-0 loss to the Bandits, at the Hardees IcePlex Thursday night.
The Warriors threw 23 shots on Bandits Goaltender Tom Comunale, but the only goals in the game came off Bandits sticks, as Bandits Forward Stephen Bopp tallied his first goal of the playoffs at 7:18 of the first period, unassisted, to give St. Louis a 1-0 lead. The Bandits Evan Stibbard closed out the scoring when he netted his 1st of the playoffs off a pass from Bopp, at the 3:52 mark in the 3rd Period.
The Bandits defense held the rest of the way to take a 1-0 lead in the best of five series. Game Two is tonight at Hardees IcePlex in St. Louis once again.
The series will return to Perani Arena in Flint, on Friday April 22, 2011 at 7:30 for Game Three, with Game 4 Saturday night, if necessary.
