
Wanna Be Bon Jovi's 'SoulMate?'

PHILADELPHIA â The Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League announced today two dates for the first round of their dance team tryouts. The first date will be Sunday, November 23rd at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ. The second date will be Sunday, November 30th at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. Both tryouts will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The final audition, for those invited to call backs, will be held on December 2nd at the Roseann Bruna School of Dance in Mantua, NJ at 6:30 p.m.
Attendance at only one of the dates is necessary to be invited back for the finals. Those who wish to attend both first round dates may also do so, but will need to purchase tickets for both events.
All participants must be 18 years of age or older by the date of the tryout (please bring a photo ID). Participants will be taught a routine and do not need to prepare one. Participants are asked to wear appropriate dance shoes and attire (no baggy clothes). Soulmates will be judged on dance ability, appearance, personality and attitude. There will be a break for lunch, but it will not be provided.
"Soulmates," the official name of the dance team, will be required to attend all eight of the Philadelphia Soul's home games. Practice will be held every Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Roseann Bruna School of Dance beginning in December and running through the end of the season. "Soulmates" will also be required to attend some community appearances on behalf of the Philadelphia Soul.
Soul co-owner Jon Bon Jovi will be attending the tryout and the first 200 participants will receive an autographed copy of his band's new CD: "This Left Feels Right."
Tickets for the tryouts, which go on-sale this Friday, November 7th at noon, are $40 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster charge-by-phone at (215) 336-2000 or at the door at both venues. This event will not be open to the public, only tryout participants.
The Philadelphia Soul will kick off their inaugural season February 8th against the New Orleans Voodoo on NBC Sports. Season ticket plans are on sale now and can be purchased for as low as $80. For more information on season tickets call 1-888-PHIL-AFL.
