New Orleans VooDoo News Release

NEW ORLEANS (November 1, 2013) - After a successful open tryout this past weekend, VooDoo Head Coach Pat O'Hara switched gears and headed out to the movie set for an upcoming film, Focus.

Along with being a professional football head coach and a football color analyst for high school and college games, Coach O'Hara is also a sports coordinator for film and television working as a part of the staff for Game Changing Films. This company is involved with sports choreography, actor training, and casting of athletes for movies, television, print ads, and commercials. Game Changing Films 12+ years of experience in movies and television, combined with their coaching/playing experience, has given them the unique ability to make sports action sequences, a coach's speech, and locker room scenes as real as possible.

O'Hara has been the assistant football coordinator on a number of sports movies, including The Longest Yard, Invincible, Game Plan, and We Are Marshall, to name a few. He has also had speaking parts in Any Given Sunday and The Waterboy.

Playing under Coach O'Hara has its perks, as New Orleans VooDoo players and staff were among a number of those involved in the movie making process inside of the Mercedes Benz Superdome. Those who participated included: Head Coach Pat O'Hara, OL Lorenzo Breland, DL Marlon Favorite, WR Antonio Robinson, K Danny Hrapmann, Equipment Manager Jake Bywater and Athletic Trainer Patrick Maloney.

These guys put in long hours over the week preparing and perfecting the football scenes. O'Hara coached his athletes on technique, acting skills and how important it is to simulate an intense football game for the cameras. The athletes concluded Thursday afternoon.

Filming for the production began in September; however, a release date has not been announced.
