
VooDoo Fall to Gladiators in Cleveland

CLEVELAND - Despite a second half rally, the New Orleans VooDoo (2-10) fell to the Cleveland Gladiators (11-1) 62-46 in Cleveland Saturday Night.
The VooDoo struggled in the first half trailing 34-6 at halftime, but a solid offensive showing in the second half saw the VooDoo score 40 points and cut the deficit to 16.
Rookie Quarterback Adam Kennedy joined the VooDoo Tuesday, having never seen an Arena Football game. Saturday night, Kennedy was 20-36-1 for 224 Yards and 2 passing touchdowns. Kennedy also rushed in for 2 touchdowns.
WR Larry Beavers was stellar for the VooDoo offense, hauling in 7 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. Beavers also had 2 4th quarter kickoff return touchdowns.
WR Courtney Smith returned to the VooDoo this week and caught 6 passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, DB Cameron McGlenn led the VooDoo with 4 tackles, and DL Marlon Favorite added 2.
The New Orleans VooDoo return home next week to take on American South Division opponent Jacksonville Sharks. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm, and the game will be broadcast on 99.5 WRNO and ESPN3.
