New Orleans VooDoo News Release
NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans VooDoo have been assigned rookie defensive lineman Tavita Woodard, announced the VooDoo front office Thursday morning.
Woodard (6-4, 260, Hawaii) enters his first season in the Arena Football League. During his collegiate career, Woodward collected 80 tackles (38 solo), five sacks and two interceptions for the Rainbow Warriors. The Honolulu, O'ahu native most recently spent time with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League.
"Tavita is a versatile big man. He is smart, tough and very athletic," said Head Coach Cokinos. "He should be able to play on the defensive line and at the mac line backer spot for us. Tavita is a quality player with a strong work ethic and high character. We are excited about him joining the VooDoo."
