VidSwap.com to be Title Sponsor of All-Star Classic Combine

June 21, 2007 - United Indoor Football Association (UIF) News Release

Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased VidSwap.com has signed on as the title sponsor for the Casey's All-Star Classic player combine Saturday, August 18.

VidSwap.com's Alex Neist is excited because the combine ties in well with what his company has, and will be, doing. "One of the things we're going to be doing here shortly is a social recruiting network that's tied into our VidSwap network...you can sign up and create your own recruiting profile."

Neist says it will be similar to other online social networks, but geared toward sports and be more professional. "We want to give the players in the UIF a way to best represent themselves as athletes." He continued, "You want to move up to have a chance to play at the AFL or to play at play in the CFL or in NFL Europe or the NFL."

Just like the goal of the combine, Neist says the recruiting network will give players a chance to showcase their talents by posting their highlights and action photos. "If they (players) want to get film to these guys (coaches and scouts) they don't have to burn DVDS, they don't have to make VHS tapes anymore, they can use a VidSwap account and send that film right to the coach via e-mail." Coaches are more likely to view video sent through e-mail than open a package.

Billings Outlaws Head Coach Heron O'Neal spent time in the NFL with the Chicago Bears and the Jacksonsville Jaguars. He likes the idea of the recruiting profile utilizing highlights. "It'll be good to get the video up." O'Neal says making the DVDs and tapes can get very expensive and "you don't always know if someone's watching them."

O'Neal likes the fact that UIF will be hosting a combine. "It will definitely help the players to be in front of the scouts."
