Chicago Slaughter News Release

Hoffman Estates, Ill. (October 23,006). Chicagoland Sports LLC President, Brett Vickers, has confirmed Monday that they are interested in pursuing several members of the 1985 Superbowl Champion Chicago Bears to coach the new Continental Indoor Football League team. The CIFL team will play its inaugural season beginning in March 2007 at the brand new, state-of-the-art Sears Centre.

"We are in one of the most exciting football cities and we want to bring the same energy and passion for football that those 1985 Bears brought to the sport as we establish the new CIFL team," said Vickers of his decision to start the search for a coach with this group of former Monsters of the Midway.

Included on the short list of candidates Vickers and Chicagoland Sports are currently considering for the head coach position from the 1985 Bears include: Dan Hampton (Defensive End) Jim McMahon (Quarterback), Steve McMichael (Defensive Tackle), William "Refrigerator" Perry (Defensive Tackle), and Matt Suhey (Full Back).

The Sears Centre will be home to Chicago Hounds hockey and CIFL football. It is an 11,000-seat state of the art multi-purpose family entertainment, sports and cultural center in Hoffman Estates' Prairie Stone Business Park. Located right at I-90 and Route 59, it will host more than 135 events each year, and is projected to attract more than 750,000 annual visitors.
