Amarillo Venom News Release
Amarillo, TX - The Amarillo Venom and Colorful Closets of Amarillo are coming together to help clothe area youth in the Quarters for the Win contest. Local Organizations and businesses were asked to collect quarters to help spread awareness and help raise money for their new adventure.
Many area businesses participated in this promotion, but Shannon Stapp Dentistry collected the most quarters. With the win, they could choose a school of their choice to enjoy the spring break party, which he chose Margaret Wills Elementary. The students from Margaret Wills were invited to the FREE party Thursday, March 16th with B's Bouncers, KISSFM DJ party with Hacker Morning Show and Venom players and mascot. The 601 students also received FREE kid's tickets to the March 18th Venom game courtesy of Aqua One and Diversified Waste Management.
Two students from Margaret Wills Elementary, along with the Principal and Counselor are going to have the opportunity to do the coin toss at the upcoming Amarillo Venom game, this Saturday.
Founders of Colorful Closets, Lindsey Wing and Keely Brown, both were excited about the opportunity to work with the kids, community partners, and the Venom organization. Keely stated, "It is not just about the money raised, it is spreading the awareness for our young organization and getting to offer some kids an amazing experience not only with the Spring Break party, but the opportunity to come to a Venom game for FREE."
Colorful Closets is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that collects, organizes & distributes clothing to AISD children, K-12, while spreading the love of Christ. For information about Colorful Closets, visit their Facebook Page at facebook.com/colorfulclosetsAMA .
