Amarillo Venom to Show Their Appreciation

March 15, 2017 - Champions Indoor Football (CIF)
Amarillo Venom News Release

Wheeler, Texas - The Amarillo Venom, along with friends, and sponsors are headed to Wheeler, Texas, Wednesday, March 15th to host an appreciation Luncheon for the firefighters and first responder friends in Wheeler and the surrounding counties.

The Amarillo Venom has been told to expect at least 150 people to attend this fun event. They will be serving Pulled Pork sandwiches from Spicy Mike's on Snow White Bakery buns. They are also serving owner Stephanie Tucker's home town World Famous German sausage. And then for their sweet tooth our friends at Great American Cookies in Westgate Mall have customized cookies.

"This is a just a small token of our appreciation from not only from the Venom but our Venom family and supporters. Wheeler has a special place in our heart, while knowing some of Toby's kids that he coached many years ago are now volunteering and working in to keep all of us safe. Wheeler also lost a truck in this fire," stated owner Stephanie Tucker. "And who doesn't like some good food to comfort their fears and put a smile on their face."

The Venom will be serving tomorrow from 11am to 1pm at the AgriLife Community Center in Wheeler, TX.

The Venom wants to remind you that this weekend's game on Saturday, March 18th is FREE. They are asking for a $5 donation at the time of ticket purchase where 100% will go to benefit the Texas Panhandle Fire Victims. Thanks to our sponsors Amarillo National Bank, Diversified Waste Management, Dobbs Corporation, Gene Messer Ford, McDonalds, Triangle Realty, Western Equipment, and KGNC and the EAGLE for making this game FREE to the public and helping us meet a goal of $20,000 for donations.

Check out the Amarillo Venom Facebook through the day for live feeds from the event.
