Velocity Sports Performance Named Official Performance Trainers of the Richmond Bandits

Richmond, VA – Velocity Sports Performance, an advanced athletic performance training program for athletes of all skills and ages, announced today they have reached an agreement with the Richmond Bandits Indoor Football Team to provide athletic training for the team's players. As the Official Performance Trainers of the Bandits, Velocity Sports Performance in Richmond will focus on increasing the speed, power and agility of players and teaching injury prevention techniques.

"We are very excited to partner with Velocity Sports Performance as our official performance trainer," said Rik Richards, head coach of the Richmond Bandits. "Velocity Sports Performance's reputation and their training techniques are well known throughout the Richmond area, as well as the sport."

"I've been training at Velocity Sports Performance for the past few months and have seen noticeable positive improvement in my speed, agility and power," says Andre LeTren, a defensive back for the Bandits. "I'd recommend their training methods to any athlete, professional or recreational, of any age or skill level."

The Richmond Velocity Sports Performance center opened in May 2004 and has experienced heavy growth over the year, training both youth and professional athletes in the area. The center is also the official speed trainers for the Richmond RiverDogs hockey team and the Richmond Tennis Association's National Junior Program.

"Our training methods are proven to make athletes faster and stronger and we're proud to help the Bandits get off to a successful start here in Richmond," said Shawn Stewart, business director of the Richmond Velocity Sports Performance center.

The Richmond Bandits, a member of the Atlantic Indoor Football League (AIFL), will begin its first season of competition on Saturday, April 16 at the Richmond Coliseum when they host the Carolina Sharks at 7:05 pm. For ticket information, please contact ticket office at (804) 780-0383.
