Vancouver Rise FC to Celebrate Sunny the Goat's Birthday

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Rise FC are celebrating the one-year anniversary of Sunny the Goat on Saturday!

Sunny will be joined at Swangard Stadium by their mascot friends from the Lower Mainland, including Spike (Whitecaps FC), Sp'óq'es (Vancouver FC) and Berry (Vancouver Bandits) to celebrate their birthday.

Coming to Rise FC from the North Shore Mountains, Sunny made their first appearance at Swangard Stadium on September 20, 2025 after hearing cheers emanating from the crowd. Since then, Sunny's been a staple all across the Lower Mainland, spreading cheer and joy to all Rise FC fans.

British Columbia is home to more than half the world's mountain goats, while Sunny specifically is also a nod to the G.O.A.T. herself, Christine Sinclair.

Fans can take photos and wish Sunny a happy birthday before kickoff in the Fan Zone.
