Utah's Siaha Burley Named Offensive Player Of The Year

NEW YORK - Utah Blaze WR SIAHA BURLEY (6-0, 185, Central Florida) was selected as the 2007 Offensive Player of the Year as voted by AFL head coaches, fans, players and the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA), the League announced today.

Burley, who earned All-Arena First Team honors two weeks ago, set AFL single-season records in receptions (166) and receiving yards (2,129) while becoming the first player in AFL history to record more than 2,000 receiving yards in a season.

While appearing in 15 games this season, Burley led the AFL in yards from scrimmage (2,129) and first downs (116) while ranking third in scoring (294 points), third in touchdowns scored (49) and fourth in all-purpose yards (2,350).

Other candidates included: Chicago WR BOBBY SIPPIO, Dallas QB CLINT DOLEZEL, Georgia QB CHRIS GREISEN and WR CHRIS JACKSON.
