Utah Royals FC Unveils 2019 Preseason Schedule

SANDY, Utah - Utah Royals FC revealed plans for the club's 2019 preseason schedule today as Head Coach Laura Harvey prepares her team for the club's second season. ?Beginning on March 4, URFC preseason features training camp sessions at Zions Bank Training Center, as well as preseason scrimmages against Long Beach University and the University of Southern California.

Harvey's team kicks off preseason at the club's facility in Herriman, Utah ?on Monday, March 4. Following the first ten days of camp, Utah will embark on a six-day trip to Los Angeles, California ?March 18-23. The team will face Long Beach University ?on Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m. PT and then take on the USC Trojans ?on Saturday, March 23 at 12:15 p.m. PT. Both matches will be free admittance at George Allen Field in Long Beach, California.

Utah Royals FC also announced that several of the club's international players will not join the club until the second week of the NWSL preseason, due to commitments "For Club and Country." United States Women's National Team DFs Becky Sauerbrunn, Kelley O'Hara, and FW Christen Press have been selected to join the USWNT for the upcoming SheBelieves Cup ?February 27 - March 6.

Other players preparing with their respective national teams include: Canadian MFs Desiree Scott, and Diana Matheson participating in the 2019 Algarve Cup ?from February 27 - March 4 in Portugal. Also competing in the Algarve Cup are: MF Gunnhildur "Gunny" Jonsdottir (Iceland) and DF Rachel Corsie (Scotland). DF Katie Bowen was also called to New Zealand for the 2019 Cup of Nations tournament held in Australia, ?February 28 - March 6. All players are expected to arrive in Utah after the conclusion of national team duties.

Monday, March 18 - Travel to Los Angeles, CA

Scrimmage #1: Wednesday, March 20 - @ LBU - 7:00 p.m. PT

Scrimmage #2: Saturday, March 23 - VS. USC - 12:15 p.m. PT

Saturday, March 23 - Return to Utah

Monday, March 25 - March 29: Training at America First Field
