Utah Royals FC Returns Home After Three-Game Road Stretch to Face Portland Thorns FC

SANDY, Utah - Utah Royals FC returns home after completing a three-game road streak that saw the team go unbeaten as it welcomes Portland Thorns FC on Friday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m. MT at Rio Tinto Stadium.

In its last match, Utah Royals FC drew 0-0 with Washington Spirit on Wednesday, August 21. The point earned finished a three-game road stretch and extend the team's four-game unbeaten streak, during which Utah recorded three shutouts.
Friday's match will mark the third and final time URFC and the Thorns will face one another during the 2019 regular season. Thus far, Royals FC and the Thorns have been evenly matched, playing to two draws. Most recently URFC hosted Portland in a back-and-forth match that saw FW Christen Press scored the opening goal before DF Rachel Corsie notched a stunner in stoppage time as the match finished 2-2 to earn URFC the home point.
URFC enters Friday's match with a 0-2-3 (3 points) all-time record against Portland Thorns FC, and are undefeated against the squad from Oregon in 2019.
