Utah Royals FC News Release
SANDY, Utah - Utah Royals FC has reached new agreements with DF Katie Bowen, MF Lo'eau LaBonta and DF Mallory Weber ahead of the 2020 National Women's Soccer League season.
"We are excited to welcome back Bowen, Lo'eau and Mallory to the Royals for this upcoming season and we look forward to seeing what they continue to bring in 2020," General Manager Stephanie Lee said.
Bowen and LaBonta return for their third seasons in Utah, while Weber has signed on for her second season with the club.
In 2019, Barnhart was voted the URFC Most Valuable Player after she reached a career-best 10 shutouts, the second-most in a single season in league history, registering 61 saves while playing in every minute of the season.
LaBonta doubled her career highs in both goals and assists, recording two of each during the 2019 season. The midfielder recorded the third-highest minutes for the Royals with 1,858, only missing time due to suspension.
Weber signed with Utah after three seasons with Portland Thorns FC. She finished with one assist in 18 matches and became a crucial part of the backline after converting to outside back. During that time she contributed to three clean sheets in 11 matches.
