
Utah Royals DF Rachel Corsie Called-Up to Continue Euro Qualifiers

SANDY, Utah - Utah Royals FC DF Rachel Corsie has been named to the Scotland National Team roster ahead of the upcoming match again Albania on November 8.
Scotland is currently aiming to qualify for its second-consecutive UEFA Women's European Championship. The team recently defeated Cyprus 8-0 and currently sit in second place in the Group E standings, the top two teams out of the five in the group will automatically clinch a spot in the 2021 tournament, while the remaining third place teams will participate in a playoff for the final spots.
The match will be the first of two matches against Albania during the group stage of the qualification. Scotland will face each team in their group, Albania, Cyprus, Finland and Portugal twice each over the next nine months.
The Scotish defender has been apart of the squad since 2009 and has served as the captain since 2015.
Corsie recently finished up her second season with Utah Royals FC, during which she scored one goal in 19 appearances.
Utah Royals FC recently played its final game in the 2019 NWSL regular season, defeating Houston Dash 2-1 at Rio Tinto Stadium.
