Utah Royals FC News Release
SANDY, Utah - Utah Royals FC midfielder Erika Tymrak has announced her retirement from professional soccer.
"Erika was one of 32 rookies selected in the inaugural 2013 NWSL College Draft and today is one of only nine remaining. For seven years she has given her all for her clubs, Utah Royals FC included, and we want to thank her for the time she spent with us and wish her luck in her next chapter," General Manager Stephanie Lee said.
Tymrak scored one goal and registered two assists in 30 appearances with Utah Royals FC. The midfielder previously played five seasons with the now defunct FC Kansas City where she was named the 2013 NWSL Rookie of the Year and won back-to-back championships in 2014 and 2015. Overall Tymrak has made 125 league appearances, scoring 19 goals and remains one of just a few to have been part of the league since its inception in 2013.
