USL signs deal with Pointstreak

TAMPA, FL - United Soccer Leagues announced that it has reached an agreement with Pointstreak.com Inc. which will see Pointstreak become the real-time scoring and official statistics software supplier for the USL First Division beginning with the 2007 USL-1 Playoffs.

Pointstreak is the leading provider of real-time scoring and advanced league administration and statistical systems for league-based sports organizations.

Pointstreak is also a partner of PA SportsTicker, which provides statistical information for ESPN and RDS (Canada) television networks. Pointstreak's current clients include numerous professional and amateur hockey leagues as well as the nation's top lacrosse leagues and the Major Indoor Soccer League.

"As the USL First Division continues to grow in popularity in North America and beyond, it is increasingly important for us as an organization to provide the best resources for fans to follow the game," said USL Executive Vice President Tim Holt. "Adding the real-time statistical capabilities of Pointstreak is a perfect supplement to our online broadcasting initiative, USL Live with Turner Sports and our website provider Demosphere's internet services."
