USL Discipline Report: Week 9

TAMPA, Fla. - The following is the USL's discipline report for Week 9 of the 2016 season:
Eight players have been suspended and fined an undisclosed amount for their actions this past week.
The heaviest infraction is Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC's Saeed Robinson, who was sent off and has been issued a three-game suspension for spitting in the face of Arizona United SC's Tommy Williams in the second half of Saturday's 3-1 victory. Robinson's suspension begins this Friday against Orange County Blues FC. He will also miss games on June 4 against Saint Louis FC and June 11 against the LA Galaxy II. The Switchbacks appealed the suspension and on Wednesday afternoon it was reduced from an initial four-game infraction to three matches.
The LA Galaxy II's Alejandro Covarrubias, Richmond Kickers' Alex Lee, Tulsa Roughnecks FC's Iarfhlaith Davoren and Wilmington Hammerheads FC's Liam Miller were each sent off during their respective matches and suspended one game each. Arizona's Luke Rooney also received a one-game suspension for intent to injure. Covarrubias and Rooney are out for Saturday's LA-Arizona match, Lee is serving his suspension on Saturday against FC Montreal, Miller will be absent for Sunday's road game against Toronto FC II and Davoren is serving on June 4 against OKC Energy FC.
The Harrisburg City Islanders' Jose Barril and Orange County Blues FC's Pavle Popara picked up their fifth cautions of the season, resulting in a one-game suspension each for yellow card accumulation. Barril served his suspension Tuesday night against Toronto FC II and Popara will serve on Friday against Colorado Springs.
Three players have been issued four yellow cards this season and are one away from being fined and suspended for accumulation: Bethlehem Steel FC's James Chambers, Orange County Blues FC's Ivan Mirkovic and Saint Louis FC's James Musa.
