USL Discipline Report: Week 15

TAMPA, Fla. - The following is the USL's discipline report for Week 15 of the 2016 season: Five players have been suspended and fined an undisclosed amount for their actions this past week. Tulsa Roughnecks FC's Anthony Peters was issued a four-game suspension by the USL Disciplinary Committee for Friday's actions. He was sent off for a reckless tackle and issued an additional three games for shoving a player by the throat late in the second half of the club's 3-2 win against Arizona United SC. Peters has already served one game of his suspension during Sunday's 2-1 loss to San Antonio FC. He will miss Tulsa's road game against Rio Grande Valley FC (Sunday), home match against Saint Louis FC (July 15) and road match against OKC Energy FC (July 23). Roughnecks teammate Sammy Ochoa and Sacramento Republic FC's Chris Christian both will serve one-game suspensions for yellow card accumulation. Ochoa was issued his fifth caution of the season on Sunday against SAFC and will be suspended for this Sunday's game against RGV. Christian was issued his fifth caution during Sunday's match against Seattle Sounders FC 2 and is out Wednesday against Real Monarchs SLC. Two players who were sent off from their respective games this past week and are serving one-game suspensions: the Charleston Battery's Dante Marini (out Saturday against Louisville City FC) and Rio Grande Valley FC's Kevin Garcia (out Sunday against Tulsa). A total of 28 players have been issued four yellow cards this season and are one away from being fined and suspended for accumulation (breakdown by team):
