TAMPA -- United Soccer Leagues announced the Players of the Week for Week 11 of the USL season, honoring Charlotte's Caleb Norkus, South Jersey's Majik Agu, Raleigh's Trevor Perea and Seattle's Brenda Mueller.

The Charlotte Eagles returned to action after a three-week layoff and grabbed a 3-1 victory over the struggling Pittsburgh Riverhounds behind a two-goal effort by A-League Player of the Week Caleb Norkus. Norkus got the Eagles off to a fast start, tallying his brace in the first 25 minutes for a 2-0 lead. He made a diagonal run behind Riverhounds defender Michael Green and chipped a shot just over the outstretched arms of goalkeeper Randy Dedini for his first goal of the evening 13 minutes in. His second goal of the night came off a long throw in. A streaking Andy Guastaferro picked up the throw in and crossed it to Norkus, who buried behind Dedini.

D3 Pro League Player of the Week Majik Agu led the Barons to two fantastic results on the weekend, tallying three goals and two assists along the way. South Jersey got off to a slow start on the weekend, falling behind 2-0 on the road against the Connecticut Wolves Saturday. With a 47th minute Bob Henes strike bringing the Wolves within one, Agu leveled the game in the 88th to send the match to overtime. Four minutes into the extra frame, Agu struck again to give South Jersey the 3-2 win. The following night on their home turf, the Barons dominated the division-leading New York Freedoms in a surprising 4-0 match. Agu scored the opening goal 22 minutes in and set up a pair of Matt Miles goals in the second half for a 3-0 lead. The two wins pulled the fourth-place Barons (6-4-2) to within eight points of New York and New Jersey, who are tied for the top spot in the division.
