
USHL Preseason Action Set to Begin this Weekend

The United States Hockey League will begin preseason play for all 17 member clubs this weekend. All teams will play at regional events spread throughout the USHL region, including showcases in Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Waterloo, Lincoln and Madison. All games, with the exception of the Pittsburgh Showcase, will be broadcasted thanks to USHL partner FASTHockey on ushl.fasthockey.com. Game schedules, ticket information and showcase information for each event can be found below.
Subway Shootout - Green Bay, WI (September 11th-13th)
The Green Bay Gamblers are hosting the "Subway Shootout" preseason tournament Friday, September11 - Sunday, September 13. All games will be played at the historic Brown County Arena. The seven United States Hockey League (USHL) teams competing include the Bloomington Thunder, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, Green Bay Gamblers, Madison Capitols, Muskegon Lumberjacks, Team USA U-17 and Team USA U-18.

Pittsburgh Showcase - Pittsburgh, PA (September 18th-19th)
The United States Hockey League (USHL) is hosting a first-of-its kind preseason showcase in Pittsburgh at the Pittsburgh Penguins' new UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township.
The event will include the Anderson Cup Champion Youngstown Phantoms, Clark Cup Finalist Muskegon Lumberjacks and both the U-17 and U-18 USA National Team Development Program.

Iowa Classic - Waterloo, IA (September 17th 19th)
Waterloo's closest United States Hockey League rivals will come from across the state to Young Arena September 17th to 19th for the 2015 Iowa Classic presented by Luann Gerber of Revolution Realty Team. Each club will play two games in front of fans, scouts, and coaches just days before USHL rosters are finalized ahead of the 2015-16 regular season.

All-Session Passes providing admission for each of the five scheduled games will be available for $15. Single-Day passes will be available for $7. All seating will be general admission. Waterloo Black Hawks season ticket holders will receive tickets for all three days of the Iowa Classic as part of their season ticket package.

The Ticket FM "Battle in Lincoln" - Lincoln, NE (September 17th-19th)
The Lincoln Stars will host The Ticket FM "Battle in Lincoln" from September 17-19 at the Ice Box. The preseason exhibition will feature the Lincoln Stars, Fargo Force, Tri-City Storm, Sioux Falls Stampede, Omaha Lancers and HC Red Bull Salzburg from Austria.

Bob Suter Memorial Tournament - Madison, WI (September 19th-20th)
The Madison Capitols will host a four-team, two-day preseason tournament on Sept. 19-20 at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena in Middleton. The Bob Suter Memorial Tournament will feature the Capitols, Chicago Steel, Bloomington Thunder, and Green Bay Gamblers. The tournament will serve as a celebration of the life of Madison's own Bob Suter, who oversaw hockey at Capitol Ice Arena from the building's inception in the late 1990s.

Tickets for the Bob Suter Memorial Tournament are available in single game passes, day passes, and weekend passes. Admission to individual games is $5 per ticket. Saturday or Sunday day passes will be sold for $10, and full weekend passes can be purchased for $20. A portion of the proceeds from the weekend will be donated to the Bob Suter Memorial Fund. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Madison Capitols' ticket office at (608) 257-CAPS (2277). They can also be purchased at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena on the day of the games (2616 Pleasant View Road, Middleton).
