RBK USHL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Matt Leitner - Fargo Force

Los Alamitos, California

College - Uncommitted NHL - Undrafted

Leitner paced the offense for the Force as they went 2-1-0 on the week and jumped into third place in the West Division. Leitner scored a goal in a 4-2 loss to Des Moines on Thursday. On Saturday, he had three assists, including one on the game-winning goal, in a 5-3 win over Sioux City. On Sunday, he figured in all the scoring with a goal and two assists in a 3-2 win, also over Sioux City. Honorable Mention - Mike Seidel (CR), Terry Broadhurst (SF), Garrett Vermeersch (LIN)

CCM USHL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Matt Donovan - Cedar Rapids RoughRiders

Edmond, Oklahoma

College - Denver NHL - New York Islanders

The fourth-highest scoring defenseman in the USHL found the back of the net three times in a pair of RoughRider victories. In Friday's 9-1 win over Omaha, Donovan scored a pair of goals, including one on the power play. The next night, he scored an- other power play goal in a 6-2 win over Tri-City. Donovan was also +4 on the weekend and had six shots on goal.

Mike Johnson - Cedar Rapids RoughRiders

Verona, Wisconsin

College - Uncommitted NHL - Undrafted

Johnson takes home league goalie honors for the second time this season. On Friday he made 25 saves in a 9-1 win over Omaha at home. Saturday night he turned aside 17 shots in a 6-2 home win over Tri-City. The league leader in goals against average, save percentage and shutouts went 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.
