
USBL referee tryouts set for Kearney, Nebraska April 9 and 10

MILFORD, CT â Do you love basketball? Do you think you have the ability to referee professional games? Well, if you answered yes to either of the above questions, the USBL has an opportunity for you.
The USBL will be running a referee try-out camp in conjunction with the Nebraska Cranes team tryout camp of the United States Basketball League (USBL) on Saturday, April 9th (1:30pm â 3:30pm) and Sunday, April 10th (12:00 Noon â 3:00pm and 5:30pm â 8:00pm) at the Kearney Events Center in Kearney, Nebraska. The USBL is always looking for skilled referees to work its fast-paced games.
All basketball referees interested in attending this two-day try-out should contact the USBL Office at 203-877-9508 for more information or visit our web site at www.usbl.com. The camp will include classroom instruction (rules, mechanics and signals) and working floor scrimmages for only a cost of $150.00.
Anyone who has worked at the high school, college or junior college level is encouraged to attend. Most importantly, since the USBL is looking to add to its officiating staff you will have the opportunity to be selected to the 2005 USBL Officiating staff and work games this summer.
All necessary forms will be available on site. All forms and fee must be completed prior to the try-out.
