
US Soccer Announces Reno 1868 FC's US Open Cup Draw

RENO, Nev. - Reno 1868 FC's second round Lamar Hunt US Open Cup draw has been announced today. 1868 FC's first game in the national competition, which includes all divisions of US soccer, will be on the road against either the Olympic Club or FC Davis on April 8 at 7:30 p.m. PT. All of the 2020 US Open Cup games will be streamed on ESPN+.
"We're extremely excited to be competing in the Open Cup again," said general manager Doug Raftery. "The national competition is a great showcase of all the levels of US Soccer, and we look forward to representing the Northern Nevada community in in it for the fourth straight year."
The Olympic Club will host FC Davis on March 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Negoesco Stadium in San Francisco, Calif.
Last season, Reno opened the Open Cup with a matchup against USL Western Conference rival Sacramento Republic FC. Reno would lose the game 1-0, moving the club's all-time Open Cup record to 2-3.
