
UNLV Runnin Rebel Joins Stampede Stable

HARRISBURG, PA (November 10, 2011) - Harrisburg Stampede's General Manager and Head Coach, Bernie Nowotarski announced today that WR Garrien Johnson has signed with the Stampede for the 2012 Season.
Garrien is another Stampede WR with nice size, quickness and runs crisp routes. Garrien is a former UNLV Runnin Rebel and a product of Elk Grove High School in Sacramento, California. After high school he attended San Joaquin Delta Junior College before finishing at UNLV. Garrien is a 6'3" 205lb WR and is another nice addition to a Stampede WR group that promises to be a strong group to contend with this season.
Garrien is the son of Roderick and Dolores Johnson. Currently GJ lives in Carlisle and spent this past outdoor season with the National Champion Chambersburg Cardinals. OC Ken Miller is excited by the talent at the WR position. We are looking forward to seeing our guys on the field on November 27th at our first open try-outs at In The Net in Palmyra.
Our search for the most talented players we can find as well the type of player that is a true team player and willing and excited to be a role model to the kids and all the fans of the Harrisburg and surrounding areas will continue. According to Coach Miller, Garrien is a quality athlete and a quality person and when you surround yourself with good people, good things will be the outcome.
Just a Reminder: The First Stampede Open-Try Out is Sunday November 27 at In The Net, Registration starts at 8am and Work-Out is from 9am - 11:30am
