Utah Royals FC News Release

SANDY, Utah - Rio Tinto Stadium will host the four-time FIFA Women's World Cup Champion United States Women's National Team as they take on the seventh-ranked Australia on Friday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. MT. The match, presented by Allstate, will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The USWNT returns to Salt Lake City for the first time since the summer of 2018 when they defeated China PR 1-0, courtesy of a goal from Orlando Pride forward Alex Morgan. In five matches at Rio Tinto Stadium the United States are undefeated and have outscored their opponents 16-1, including a goal from Utah Royals FC's own Amy Rodriguez against Canada in June of 2012. Prior to Real Salt Lake's inaugural season in 2005, the USWNT played their first match in Utah in 2003, defeating Ireland 5-0 at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Should they be named to the roster, the match will mark a homecoming of sorts for Utah Royals FC's trio of Americans Kelley O'Hara, Christen Press and Becky Sauerbrunn who have not played at Rio Tinto Stadium since the conclusion of the 2019 National Women's Soccer League Season on October 12. All three have seen offensive success on the club level at their home stadium. At the RioT O'Hara has notched one goal and one assist, Press has scored six goals and recorded three assists and Sauerbrunn scored one of her four career NWSL goals in front of the Royals FC home crowd.

Utah Royals FC and Real Salt Lake season ticket holders will receive presale access beginning on Monday, February 17, at 11:00 a.m. MT.

General sale tickets for the match in Utah will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, February 19, at 11:00 a.m. MT through www.ussoccer.com, by phone at 844-REAL-TIX and at the Rio Tinto Stadium box office (open Mon.-Fri. 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.).
