
Undefeated Lightning Take on Kebs

(London, Ontario) For the London Lightning, an amazing start to the schedule turns into a big test on the horizon. The undefeated 3-0 start puts London at the top of the National Basketball League of Canada. Next up: the first meeting of the year between London and the 2-2 Quebec Kebs.
The Kebs will be formidable. They feature Tommy Mitchell and Royce Parran, both players are averaging 17 points per game in 25 minutes of playing time and James Jackson is averaging nearly a double double with 14 points and 9 rebounds per game. All three Kebs players will be a tough test for the Lightning on Thursday night.
On the London side of the ledger, the Lightning boast the first ever NBL Canada player of the week, Gabe Freeman. However, closer inspection reveals that a deep bench has been as important to the team's success as anything. Taylor King, is the current scoring leader for the Lightning averaging 19.0 points per game, and leads the league in made 3 pointers.
Thursday night's game falls on the eve of Remembrance day, an occasion the Lightning will commemorate at halftime. As for the game' It is shaping up to be memorable itself.
