UIF Website Launches New Look / Playoffs Begin to take Shape

June 5, 2006 - United Indoor Football Association (UIF) News Release

Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce the unveiling of the new Web Site! The new look has been in the building process for the last two months and is now ready to be viewed by their loyal fans. Some new features include a flashing banner with action photos, the "UIF Experience," more photos, new links and a whole new feel! Be sure to view the new site at http://www.unitedindoorfootball.com/! The site was created by Infinity Pro Sports, who make professional web sites for sports teams and organizations all across the country.

The UIF regular season is down to five weeks left and the playoff race has now begun. The 2006 playoffs will feature six of the ten teams in the post-season, with the top three seeds being the division winners and the final three teams being the best records of the other 7. If the regular season were to end this week after ten games for each team; the Sioux Falls Storm would receive the number one seed and the Lexington Horsemen would take the two seed. The first two seeds for the play-offs will both receive first round byes. The third seed would go to the Rock River Raptors.

The final three spots would be filled by the Sioux City Bandits, Ohio Valley Greyhounds and the UIF's first expansion team, the Bloomington Extreme. Seeds three through six will be seeded by record. In this case with each team having a 5-5 record, tie breakers would come into play.

The playoff procedure will be seeds 3 versus 6 and 4 versus 5 at the home of the highest seed for the first round (July 14-16, depending on venue dates.) The second round (July 21-23) will have the lowest remaining seed playing at the home of seed number one, with the last remaining team heading to the venue of seed 2.

United Bowl II will feature the final two remaining teams at the home of the highest seed remaining. The game is slated to take place on Saturday, July 29, 2006. Be sure to keep checking back to the UIF's new site and wait to see who will have the best shot at taking United Bowl II. It may be coming to your city!
