UIF Commissioner Excited about Third Season

Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football (UIF) will kick off its third season this weekend with five games on the docket, one Friday and four on Saturday. UIF Commissioner Dakota Crow looks forward to the season. "I'm just excited to see the head-to-head every week because I don't see a weak team in the bunch," he said.

The 30-man rosters for each team will be finalized before the games are played. Crow speaks highly about the talent in the league. "We have several guys that had All-Star caliber seasons in some other leagues who are now playing in our league," he added.

Crow looks for a good crowd in Loveland, CO, where the expansion Colorado Ice played an exhibition game in front of approximately 3,500 last week. "I'm expecting a great crowd," he said. "From what I understand, people were just crazy about the product." RiverCity, also new to the UIF, had an exhibition game last week that drew 2,497 fans.

The commissioner hopes players will have success in the UIF and move up to other leagues. "Because with this much talent, we want to make sure these guys move up to the AFL, NFL, CFL, NFL Europe-we're all about our guys moving up," he said.

The games this weekend are as follows:

Friday

Billings Outlaws at Colorado Ice 7 p.m. MDT

Sioux Falls Storm at Rock River Raptors 7:05 p.m. CDT
