LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) is proud to unveil the new Colonial Cup. The Colonial Cup, which is awarded annually to the team that wins the Colonial Cup Finals, has undergone some changes.

Sterling Artisans of Providence, Rhode Island was commissioned to retrofit and produce the Colonial Cup. The goal was to keep the integrity of the original design, but also create a new look. Sterling Artisans took the existing base and reinforced it substantially. Each panel was overlaid with sterling silver and the top was crowned with a newly designed cup.

"The technical aspects of the trophy proved to be rather demanding, but we are fortunate to have some of the most talented artists in the country on our team," stated Jay Herman, President of Sterling Artisans. "It has been an honor to take part in the UHL's most coveted prize. It was a pleasure to work with Richard Brosal and the UHL staff. They are a quality organization and we look forward to our continued partnership."

The new trophy will be on display each night of the Colonial Cup Finals. Fans will have an opportunity view the Colonial Cup in both Muskegon and Fort Wayne.

"We are very pleased with the work that Sterling Artisans has done," stated Richard Brosal, UHL President/CEO. "They take a lot of pride in their work and made us feel very comfortable during this process. The Colonial Cup has a lot of history, but it was time to make some improvements. We are happy that we could use the original piece as the core for the new trophy. It will be very exciting to hand this beautiful Colonial Cup to the winning team in the Finals."

Sterling Artisans consults, designs, and offers creative answers for work requiring metal fabrication. Their products are American made and include corporate solutions, one-of-a-kind works of art, and large or small-scale production jewelry.
