U.S. Women's National Team Coming To San Diego

SAN DIEGO - The road to the 2003 Women's World Cup in China will begin in San Diego as the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team will spend five days at the ARCO U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., in preparation for the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup, which begins on Sunday, Oct. 27, as the USA takes on Mexico at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. The top two finishers in the Gold Cup will earn berths to the 2003 Women's World Cup. It will be the first appearance at the Rose Bowl for the U.S. women since the historic 1999 Women's World Cup Final. All of the Gold Cup matches will be broadcast live on Fox Sports World.
