Two Professionals Added to League Staff

April 14, 2009 - Indoor Football League (IFL) News Release


Richmond, Virginia-The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the addition of two staff members to its league office.

Brooks York will serve as the IFL's new Director of Football Operations, focusing on the compliance of all league rules and regulations. York was born and raised in Chester, Virginia where he was a star defensive back at Thomas Dale High School. He went on to play five years for the University of Richmond Spiders, helping them win the 2008 NCAA Football Championship Sub-Division National Championship. He graduated in 2008 with a degree in Rhetoric and Communications. York brings his vast football knowledge and communications skills to the IFL Family. "I am extremely excited to join the IFL and am ready to help Commissioner Benizio take the IFL to the next level", stated York.

Mike Clark comes to the IFL from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to serve as the league's Director of Communications. He will focus on maintaining the league website, as well as all public and media relations efforts. Clark graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2008 with a degree in Business Management and a Concentration in Sports Management. He brings along experience in the world of Professional Sports after previously working in the Communications department for the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League. "I can't wait to jump right in and help increase the IFL's exposure as well as assisting each of the teams reach their full potential", said Clark.

The work of both of these professionals will be monitored by league Executive Director Gary Tufford. The 2009 Indoor Football League is in full swing through its first month of the season.
