Two New Fever Players

DEFENSIVE STANDOUT JAMIE HATTLEY RETURNING TO FEVER

The Tri-Cities Fever announce that defensive back Jamie Hattley has been assigned to the team by the af2 league office. Hattley is a 5 year veteran of the af2 and will be starting his 3rd season with the Fever.

Hattley, 5'11", 181 lbs, played one game with the Fever last season before being traded to Arkansas where he recorded 62.5 tackles and 5 interceptions. Hattley holds Fever team records for tackles in a single season (91.5) and tackles in a single game (13). In 2007 he was selected to the American Conference All-af2 Second Team.

Coach Richard Davis is very pleased to have Hattley on the '09 roster stating, "It's good to have a guy like Jamie back. He is definitely a standout player in the af2 and someone that the fans in Tri-Cities will remember and love."

TRAVIS MOTLEY ASSIGNED TO FEVER

The Tri-Cities Fever announce that DB Travis Motley has been assigned to the team by the af2 league office. Motley, 6'2", 190 lbs is a rookie out of the University of South Dakota and was a 2-year starter for the Coyotes.

Motley was selected to the 2nd team all conference and was also invited to the Seattle Seahawks mini-camp in 2008. After speaking with his college coaches, Head Coach Richard Davis believes Motley has lots of potential in the af2. Davis states, "He has a chance to be very good at this level. His college coaches spoke very highly of his character and talent and I look forward to seeing him in camp."

Motley was also a two year starter at Diablo Valley College.
