Two Lumberjacks Named USHL Players of the Week

Chicago, IL - A pair of Lumberjacks players, Trevor Hamilton and Rem Pitlick were named the USHL CCM players of the week.

The Lumberjacks captain, Trevor Hamilton was named the USHL defenseman of the week, after a six-point performance. On Wednesday, the Penn State commit notched three assists, and on Saturday, he doubled his point total for the week with one goal and two assists. Hamilton is now fourth among USHL defensemen scor- ing with 16 points.

"I am honored to be named player of the week," Hamilton said, "I have to give a lot of credit to our forwards for capitalizing on our opportunities."

Lumberjacks forward Rem Pitlick was named the USHL forward of the week. After recording two goals and two assists Wednesday night, he completed his week Saturday, with two goals and three assists. The University of Minnesota commit registered a nine point week and now leads the USHL in scoring with 28 points.

The Lumberjacks (10-8-1) will look to continue their success when they travel to Sioux Falls for a pair of games with the Stampede (12-10-1), a 2015 Clark Cup Finals rematch. The Lumberjacks return home December 18th when they host the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders Friday, at 8:30 pm.
