
CCM USHL Players of the Week Named

The United States Hockey League announced the CCM Forward, Defenseman and Goaltender of the Week for Week 11 of the 2015-16 season. Two Lumberjacks took home honors after a big weekend for Muskegon, and Bloomington goaltender Lavigne sealed up Goaltender of the Week after posting a shutout. CCM Hockey is the official equipment partner of the USHL.
Forward: Rem Pitlick - Muskegon Lumberjacks
2 GP: 4 goals, 5 assists, +4
Pitlick had a nine-point weekend with four goals and five assists. Saturday's win was the third consecutive game that Pitlick has scored two goals. The University of Minnesota commit now leads the USHL in scoring with 28 points in 19 games, and is second in goals scored. Pitlick's active seven-game point streak, and five-game goal scoring streak are second best this season in the USHL. Muskegon is 7-3-0-0 this season when Pitlick scores a goal, and 7-0-0-0 when the forward picks up two or more points in a game. Pitlick has scored three game-winning goals for the Lumberjacks this season. The Plymouth, MN native is a second year NHL Draft-eligible forward and previously played for the Waterloo Black Hawks (USHL) and Shattuck St. Mary's (USHS). Pitlick was named to the U.S. Select Team that will play in the WJAC beginning December 13, 2015 in Whitby, ON.
Defenseman: Trevor Hamilton - Muskegon Lumberjacks
2 GP: 1 goal, 5 assists, +1
Hamilton led all USHL defensemen in scoring this weekend with six points in two games. The Grosse Pointe Farms, MI native now has four goals and 16 points, and is fourth among USHL defensemen in scoring. Hamilton was instrumental in helping Muskegon's power play score four times in two games over the weekend. Hamilton is playing in his fourth USHL season after two years with Team USA, and is playing in his second season with Muskegon. The Penn State University commit has previously played for Miami University (NCAA), Team USA (USHL) and Honeybaked (T1EHL).
Goaltender: Hayden Lavigne - Bloomington Thunder
1-0-0-0, 0.00 GAA, 1.000 SV%
Lavigne picked up his second shutout of the season Sunday after stopping all 22 shots he faced. The University of Michigan commit is just the third goaltender in the USHL this season to reach 10 wins, and is tied for second in shutouts. Lavigne has won four of his last five starts in net, including two overtime contests, and is 10-3-0-1 this season with a 2.43 GAA and .911 SV%. The Brampton, ON native has previously played for the Waterloo Black Hawks (USHL), Tri-City Storm (USHL), Wellington Dukes (OJHL) and Toronto Nationals AAA (GTMMHL).
