Frisco Thunder News Release

FRISCO, Tex. - January 28, 2008 -- The Frisco Thunder signed defensive back Jacob Luna of Grapevine and tight end/defensive end William Siffin of Arlinggton, head coach Troy Esprit announced today.

Luna, who played his high school ball at Colleyville Heritage, saw playing time at the University of Oklahoma. Siffin, a transplated Michiganer, played at Wayne State. Both additions adhere to Esprit's approach of finding talent in his own backyard, in this case, the Dallas-Forth Worth area.

"You can't tell me I can't find at least ten good football players in this area -- Jacob and William prove that," Esprit said. "This league is all about opportunity and my main goal is to give a player a chance to showcase his talent's in order to get to where he wants to be.

A playoff team in their inaugural season, the Thunder hosts the opening game of the 2008 Intense Football League season on Saturday, March 1st at 6 p.m. against the San Angelo Stampede Express. All home games will be played in the Deja Blue Arena, located in the Frisco Dr Pepper StarCenter. Season and individual tickets are available now at 972-731-6968.
