Two Former MVP's Back with Whalers

The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce the return to the line of two former winners of the William Barnes Danbury Whalers MVP Award. The Whalers welcome back Forward Igor Karlov and Goaltender Peter Vetri.

Igor Karlov was the Danbury Whalers team MVP in the 2010-11 season. In 47 games that season, Igor tallied 26 goals and 27 assists. In 5 playoff games he had 2 assists. The 26 goals stood as the team record until this past season as both Mike Atkinson (39) and Cody Ayers (27) passed that total.

Peter Vetri returns for his 4th season as a Danbury Whaler. Peter has played 41 regular season games and 13 playoff games. Vetri was named the team MVP for the 2011-12 season. Pete has 24 wins as a Whaler and has been in net for 6 Whalers playoff wins.
