Montreal Impact News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact Academy (reserve team) is organizing a two-day tryout for players under 21 years of age.
Under the supervision of the technical staff, the tryouts will take place on November 6 (7pm to 10:30pm) and November 13 (6pm to 10:30pm) at the Centre d'activités physiques et communautaires de l'Est located next to Collège Marie-Victorin, in Montreal.
"The recruiting process for the Academy is already under way for the 2011 season, but we are organizing these days to finalize our scouting," said Academy head coach and director of player development Philippe Eullaffroy. "It's a good opportunity for some young local players to show us what they got. We are looking for players to stand out, with skills above the norm if they hope to join the Academy. These tryouts will give players an opportunity to make the team."
Players who wish to partake in the tryouts must be born between 1991 and 1994, and must be at the AAA level. It is possible to register via voice mail at 514-328-3668 (ext. 240). Players will then be contacted to confirm their presence. Participants must be on site one hour before the start of the tryout with their $30 registration fee and their Medicare cards.
