Rochester Lancers News Release

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers today announced the return of the "Wonder Twins," Joey and Jayme Kapinos. This will be the second season in a Lancers uniform for both players.

The 25 year old identical twins from Ludlow, MA combined for 28 total games played in their first season with the team. They each played the 2013-14 season with Detroit.

As a defender, Jayme contributed to the stingiest defensive display since the team's inception in 2011. He finished the season second on the team in blocks with 16 and five total points in scoring. He even played a shift as a sixth attacker on January 24 against Baltimore, making it the first time a twin replaced his own brother in goal.

In goal, Joey finished in the league's top 10 in save percentage (.727), top 12 in saves (165) and goals against average (.568), and received the first playoff win as a goalkeeper in team history, playing in goal against Syracuse in the MASL postseason. His accomplishments landed him a roster spot on the US Indoor National Team's 2015 World Cup squad and a World Cup championship, since the United States won the tournament.

"Joey and Jayme came a long way this season and I'm proud of what they accomplished," said Doug Miller, Lancers Head Coach. "They have a lot of upside and their growth will be important to our success next season."

Season tickets are now on sale. If ordered by May 1, fans will receive a $15 discount per ticket. To order tickets, or for full player bios, visit www.rlancers.com.
