Twins Now Affiliated with Lancers

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers today announced their new affiliation with "the Twins." Identical twins, Joey Kapinos, former Detroit Waza goalkeeper and his brother Jayme Kapinos, have both been signed to the 2014-15 roster.
The 24 year old pair will bring their defensive minds to this season's squad. As a goalkeeper with Detroit from 2012-14, Joey obtained a record of 23-5 in regular season play while having a 5.82 GAA and a 3-2 record in post-season play.
Joey made an immediate impact on the game of professional indoor soccer. As a rookie in 2012, he won the US Open Arena Soccer championship, was named to the PASL All-League Second Team, and broke the PASL league record for most goalkeeper wins in a season with 13. As a collegiate player at Southern New Hampshire University, Joey holds the lowest career goals against average in program history at .40.
Jayme will play in front of his brother this season as a defender. Alongside his brother, he initially showcased his indoor skills at the 2012 MISL National Combine. He spent the 2013/14 season with the Detroit Waza. As a defender, he finished the season with two goals and one assist. Jayme also played his collegiate soccer at Southern New Hampshire University and earned the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team honor, NSCAA All-Region Team Selection, Northeast-10 First Team All-Conference selection, and finished his career breaking the program record of all-time leader in games played (86).
