Florida Tuskers News Release
ORLANDO, FL - MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2010 - Wide Receiver Brian Clark became the second member of the Florida Tuskers to see NFL action in 2010, when he played for the Detroit Lions on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
Clark, who joined the Tuskers in Week 10 of the regular season, was signed by the Lions late last week. Although he did not record any statistics, he saw action at wide receiver and on special teams. Clark caught two passes for 54 yards in the Tuskers regular season finale against Omaha and added four catches for 44 yards in the Florida's 23-20 loss to Las Vegas in the UFL Championship game.
He joined DE/LB Eric Moore and RB Dominic Rhodes in becoming the third Tuskers player since the end of the UFL season to be placed on an active NFL roster. Moore, who signed with the New England Patriots, has appeared in two games thus far and recorded four tackles and a quarterback sack yesterday against the Chicago Bears. Rhodes signed late last week with the Indianapolis Colts, but did not play in the team's 30-28 win over Tennessee last Thursday.
With the signing, Clark becomes the seventh member of the 2011 Tuskers to sign an NFL contract. In addition to Rhodes and Moore, four others have signed NFL practice squad contracts. Those players include TE Jason Pociask (Dallas), LB J Leman (San Diego), WR Maurice Price (Washington) and FB James Develin (Cleveland).
