Florida Tuskers News Release

ORLANDO, FL - MONDAY, AUGUST 23, 2010-Although Sunday was "dark" at Florida Tuskers training camp, it was a busy day for the coaching staff. In addition to working on practice film "cut-ups" and meetings, the staff announced several roster moves as it heads into Week 2 of training camp today.

Florida added punter Aaron Horne, linebacker Brett Warren, and lineman Patrick Afif to its roster; while releasing lineman Charles Spencer, cornerback Fakhir Brown and punter Jeremy Schatz.

Warren played at Virginia Tech from 2004-08, where he accumulated 160 total tackles with three interceptions, three quarterback sacks and three forced fumbles. He went to camp last year with the Carolina Panthers.

Afif is a 6-7, 320-lb. lineman out of Washington State. He played three seasons in the Arena Football League, playing for San Jose (2007), Arizona (2008) and Orlando (2010). Afif went to training camp with the Tuskers last year and also spent the 2009 season in the Canadian Football League. A former junior college All-America selection, Afif was a two-year starter for Washington State, but was limited to seven games as a senior because of injuries.

Horne was the starting punter at UCF for three seasons (2004-06). For his career, he averaged 40.1 yards per punt on 162 kicks. As a junior, he averaged 42.2 yards per punt. Horne kicked in one game in the UFL last season as an emergency replacement for the New York Sentinels.

The Tuskers resume practice this morning at 9 a.m.
