SERIES "A": (1) MUSKEGON VS. (4) FLINT (MUS leads series, 3-2)

GAME THREE: Muskegon took their 2-0 series lead into Flint Tuesday night, but Flint edged out the Lumberjacks by a score of 4-1 on home ice. Generals' goaltender Rob Nolan allowed only one goal against, making 30 saves to keep the Generals alive in the series. Lumberjacks starting netminder Sebastien Centomo was injured during the game, so Matt Lundin made his first playoff appearance, making 29 saves in the Lumberjacks loss.

GAME FOUR: Thursday night, the Lumberjacks continued their winning ways over the Generals in the series, stealing Game Four by a final score of 5-2. Lundin got the nod between the pipes for his first start of the playoffs, turning aside 29 of 31 shots he faced. All five of the Lumberjacks goals were scored by a different player, with Michel Beausoliel (two assists), Damian Surma (one goal, one assist) and Todd Robinson (one goal, one assist) all having multi-point nights.

GAME FIVE: The Generals traveled to Muskegon with their backs against the wall, down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series. The Generals took an early 3-1 lead after the first period and never looked back. After a scoreless second period, both teams traded goals in the third before Generals captain Pascal Rheaume scored an empty-netter with just over three minutes remaining to seal the Generals 5-2 win over the Lumberjacks at LC Walker Arena.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Lumberjacks will take their 3-2 series lead to Flint Tuesday night. If Flint wins, the two teams will face-off again Wednesday in Muskegon for Game Seven, if necessary.

GAME FOUR: The Icehawks took their 2-1 series lead back home to Port Huron for Game Four. They took a 2-0 lead in the contest, before the Komets evened up the score early in the third. Komet netminder Nick Boucher made 25 saves in the loss.

GAME FIVE: Entering the night with a 3-1 series lead, the Icehawks looked to finish things off on the road in Fort Wayne. After Port Huron took a 2-0 lead in the contest, the Komets offense exploded for seven unanswered goals, scoring two in the second and five in the third. Komet forwards Matt Syroczynski and Justin Chwedoruk each netted two goals in the 7-2 win. Boucher made 32 saves to earn the win, while D'Orso made 32 in the loss.

GAME SIX: The two teams traveled back to Port Huron for Game Six, with Port Huron having a 3-2 series lead in the best-of-seven series. The Komets opened up the scoring just 3:22 into the contest, but found themselves tied 2-2 after two periods of play. Fort Wayne's Colin Chaulk scored with just over five minutes left in the contest, putting the Komets up 3-2. Port Huron's Mike Kinnie scored 1:08 later, tying the game with just over four minutes left. Komet center Leo Thomas scored the game-winning goal with 2.1 seconds left on the clock, forcing a Game Seven back in Fort Wayne.

LOOKING AHEAD: The winner of Game Seven, being played tonight in Fort Wayne, will advance to the 2010 Turner Cup Finals to battle either the Muskegon Lumberjacks or the Flint Generals.
