
Tulsa Shock Partners with Walgreens and TACSI for Back to School Program

TULSA, Okla. (August 7, 2012) - The Tulsa Shock has partnered with Walgreens and the Tulsa Area Community Schools Initiative (TACSI) to provide area students with back to school supplies. All donors will receive a complementary ticket to the Shock's August 17 game versus the San Antonio Silver Stars at the BOK Center.
"There is a huge need in Tulsa area schools and we as an organization along with our community partners would like to try to help as much as we possibly can," President Steve Swetoha said. "Walgreens and the Tulsa Area Community Schools Initiative both do amazing work in this community and we are thankful for their help in developing this program."
Forty Walgreens locations in Tulsa County will sell a $5 back to school voucher which will go towards TACSI's 28 area community schools that are in need of school supplies. Each voucher purchased will come with a complimentary ticket to the Shock's August 17 game versus the San Antonio Silver Stars.
