
Tucker Slugs Two, Reaches 70 RBI

LANCASTER, Calif. - Preston Tucker hit two home runs and picked up six RBI to lead the JetHawks to a 12-6 win over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Sunday at The Hangar.
Tucker hit two three-run home runs to propel Lancaster's offense to a big early lead. The six RBI brought his season total to 70 making him the first player to reach 70 RBI in Minor League Baseball.
Joe Scalafani hit a solo home run, his third of the year, and Carlos Perdomo also added a home run late in the game. Perdomo's shot was his first of the season.
Andrew Aplin started the scoring with an RBI-single in the first inning and ended up totaling three hits and scored three runs in the game.
Jonas Dufek (1-2) tossed two innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win.
Chris Devenski allowed four runs in four innings of work. He allowed five runs, struck out three and walked one.
The win gave the JetHawks a four-game sweep of the Quakes to start the second half and their eighth straight win against their South Division foes.
Lancaster heads to Bakersfield to begin a three-game series on Monday night. First pitch is at 7:45 pm at Sam Lynn Ballpark. Tyson Perez will start for the JetHawks against Carlos Contreras.
