Tropics Expand Youth Club Umbrella with Celebration Tropics

June 18, 2018 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) - Florida Tropics SC News Release

Lakeland, FL: The Tropics officially announced this morning further expansion of the youth Club umbrella with a new partnership and affiliation with Celebration Youth Soccer. As part of this partnership Celebration Youth Soccer will become known as the Celebration Tropics. This new branch of the Tropics organization will work closely with the Tropics senior management and Youth Club Operations.

The structure of the Celebration Tropics will remain the same with the Recreation Program and Academy Program. This partnership will offer the club opportunities to at all levels, but most importantly allow us to focus on delivering on the goal of a positive community soccer experience to all players, parents and families under the Tropics organization.

"We are excited to extend our brand and player pool to Celebration. We have seen the tremendous growth the area has gone through over the past few years and are excited to now have some of those families playing for the Tropics organization. Like our other youth partnerships, the executives for CYS believe in the same core values for development and structure of how a youth Club should operate. We look forward to welcoming them to the Tropics family," said Tropics GM Andrew Ross.

An important benefit to the Celebration Club is participation for the Academy/Competitive teams in the established, well-organized Greater Central Florida (GCF) Soccer League. This has been an aim for the club for a number of years and both sides have worked diligently recently to assess all opportunities, and to ensure that any agreement was in the best interests of both parties.

"Partnering with the Tropics will be great for our community. It will help us grow and continue to allow us to focus on delivering a positive soccer experience for kids and families in our community," said CYS Club President Lee Moore.

Additional benefits to the youth Club will include:

- Training clinics with professional Tropics players.

- Collaboration with local, like-minded soccer professionals to deliver the best youth soccer experiences.

- Pathway to professional game for aspiring players.

- Club days/trips to professional indoor/outdoor games.

Visible changes will be seen around the club, including a change in logo and Academy team uniforms. Behind the scenes the Club will continue to work on creating a framework to improve coaching, development, a fun experience and building a community soccer club that everyone is proud of.
