New Orleans VooDoo News Release

NEW ORLEANS (December 27, 2012) - Big Fav Ent., I Know Ya Heard Me Ent., and The Big T Foundation's 2nd Annual Holiday Toy Drive was a success, announced the VooDoo front office Thursday, December 27th.

"I think the toy drive went pretty. We were able to get out to some neighborhoods and reach more kids than we had last year," said New Orleans VooDoo DL Marlon Favorite. "I want to thank all of the foundations and sponsors involved to help make this Christmas a very special one to many children."

The 2nd annual Toy Drive Party attracted a crowd from around the city. Dozens of locals stopped by to drop off toys and to show their support for the Toy Drive and for the New Orleans VooDoo. VooDoo Dolls and those who attended danced the night away.

The party was over, but Favorite's mission was not complete. After all of the toys had been collected and loaded into vehicles, the VooDoo Dolls, Favorite, Frye, family and friends traveled to both sides of the river to distribute the toys to poverty ridden neighborhoods. The greatest accomplishment of all was the surprise and joy on the children's faces.

"We collected about 250-300 toys and were able to reach about 50 families on both sides of the river," said Favorite. He continued, "One family had about 11 kids being raised by their grandmother. She wasn't able to give the kids what she had hoped this Christmas. It was a touching experience to be able to put a smile on these kid's faces. I think the grandmother was more surprised than the kids were."

Favorite hopes to expand his Toy Drive even more, next Christmas.
